Welcome! I’m a mixed media artist based in Virginia’s Shenandoah Valley. I make art that makes me happy, and in doing so, I hope it makes others happy as well. My creative journey started at age seven on my mom’s old Singer sewing machine (which I still cherish and use!). She taught me to sew, and in doing so, passed down a love of textiles and a connection to the generations of women in my family who were quiltmakers, artists, and storytellers in their own right. Their legacy is the thread that runs through everything I make.
My work is a playful, textured exploration of color, pattern, and surface. I combine acrylic paint, canvas, stitching, paper, and layered materials to create pieces that invite a closer look. At the heart of my art is a sense of energy, movement, and optimism. I believe something meaningful can be built slowly and deliberately—mark by mark, and layer by layer.
In addition to my own art practice, I am deeply involved in supporting the local arts community and creating spaces where artists and art enthusiasts can connect, exhibit, and thrive. I am a member of the ShenArts Cooperative Gallery in downtown Winchester, VA. If you are ever in town, stop by and say “hello”.
